Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Pratum Companies is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on our properties, ensuring that our facilities and common areas are in the best possible condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.
  • Ensure that heating and plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including inspections of grounds, buildings, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment.
  • Respond quickly to emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol.
  • Support the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, and conduct repairs when necessary.
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
  • Inspect alarm systems, such as carbon dioxide and fire protection, and quickly schedule repairs when needed.
  • Undertake activities of pest control, such as spraying insecticide.
Requirements:
  • HVAC certification.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
  • Working knowledge and experience in general apartment maintenance and repair.
  • Strong understanding or related experience to ensure the ability to recognize electrical, plumbing, and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failure.
  • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers, and small hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of repair to common appliances and devices.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:

A minimum of three years' experience as a residential property management maintenance technician. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. EPA technician certification required.
