Job Summary

At Bayfront Health, we are seeking a skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team. As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to demonstrate anatomy and physiology for interpretation and intervention. You will exercise professional judgment in the performance of services and maintain a demeanor that is complimentary to quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
  • Adhere to Bayfront Health's mission statements and commitment to excellence standards.
  • Assess the patient's physical condition and age-specific needs.
  • Provide instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
  • Perform proper patient identification, acquire patient's clinical history, and assure that the information is accurately documented.
  • Position patient, equipment, associated devices, and manipulate technical factors to achieve high-quality images for interpretation.
  • Assess diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated.
  • Apply principles of MRI safety to patients, self, and others.
  • Comprehend and comply with Quality Control standards and participate in all Quality Control tasks.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in contrast medication administration with and without the use of power injectors.
  • Administer medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies.
  • Apply appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.
  • Assist in supervision of student technologists and training of new technologists.
  • Utilize all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
  • Ensure safety of all customers.
  • Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Bayfront Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all Bayfront Health policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
  • Maintain well-stocked and organized work areas.
  • May be required to work at any facility.
  • Provide patient transport.
Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or;

• Graduate of an accredited school of Sonography or;

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine.Licensure/Certification
• Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or;

• Valid American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification or;

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification.

• Maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida (Preferred).
