Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Sous Chef to support our Executive Pastry Chef and oversee the pastry teams within the Book Tower.

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and production of desserts, breads, and pastries for the restaurant outlets within Le Supreme and the Book Tower.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in overseeing the production of menu items.
  • Ensure all foods meet our quality and standards, and specials are current with the seasons and trends.
  • Expedite orders correctly and efficiently to ensure smooth kitchen flow.
  • Assist with creation and execution of daily specials.
  • Attend all weekly management meetings and corporate meetings that are scheduled.
  • Assist the chefs and coordinate with the purchaser with ordering on a daily basis.
  • Assist the chefs with the scheduling on a weekly basis.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years professional hospitality leadership experience in a similar environment.
  • Excellent product knowledge and ability to use and train team members to use the kitchen equipment.
  • Understand and have the ability to train on all pastry and bread baking methods.
  • Management certified according to state health department criteria procedures.
Working Conditions

The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach, and stretch for eight to 10 hours per day.

Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.

The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
