Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Greenlife Healthcare Staffing. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients in the Emergency Department
  • Document observations, assessments, and changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes
  • Provide a full range of nursing care to patients with various physical and behavioral problems
  • Assess and care for patients with a wide range of physical and psychological diagnoses
  • Care for patients undergoing operative/invasive procedures
  • Care for patients requiring special precautions such as isolation
  • Insert and maintain peripheral lines
  • Maintain central lines for administration of intravenous fluid
  • Complete and accurate documentation of care, on time, according to facility/unit policies
  • Phlebotomy and bedside testing
  • On-call status may be required at the discretion of the Nurse Manager
  • Insertion and troubleshooting of Urinary catheters
  • Initiates patient education, as prescribed by the physician during discharge
  • Display and promote professionalism and excellent customer service during interactions with patients and their families/caregivers
Requirements:
  • Must have at least 3 years current experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room with no more than a six-month gap working in that setting
  • Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or in a related field or a master's degree in Nursing or in a related field is highly preferred
  • Must have an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States)
  • Preferred to have the Certification of Emergency Nursing (CEN) through the Board of Certifications for Emergency Nurses (BCEN). Nurses with Acute/Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) certifications through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Certification Corporation (AACN) with ED experience will also be considered
