Offering a $10,000 Sign-on Bonus

As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will perform ultrasound procedures at a technical level, requiring independent judgment and initiative to supply prescribed sonography examinations for radiographic diagnoses. You will be responsible for designated areas or procedures as required, performing related duties in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Satisfactory completion of an accredited radiologic technology program or diagnostic medical sonography program that meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Certifications/Registrations: Registry eligible (achieve registry within 6 months of eligibility) or 1 applicable registry with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Other: This individual must be capable of manipulating ultrasound equipment, evaluating images, lifting, moving, and transporting patients, continual standing and walking, recognizing emergency situations, adapting to stressful situations, and communicating effectively.
  • Equipment Used: This individual should be proficient in the use of ultrasound equipment and computers.
  • Preferred Certifications: Registry by the ARDMS in fetal echocardiography or Certification in Nuchal Translucency (NT) by the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR) or Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF).
