At Lovington Healthcare, we are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Activity Coordinator for Recreation Services to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Job Summary

The Activity Coordinator for Recreation Services will assist the Activity Director in developing and delivering activity/recreational programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents. This includes planning, organizing, and implementing social, recreational, and educational activities that promote resident engagement and enhance their quality of life.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to candidates with an Activities Certification. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can work effectively in a team environment and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and delivery of activity/recreational programs that meet the individualized needs and interests of residents.
  • Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities, including arts/crafts, community outings, religious activities, intellectual/educational activities, and recreational activities.
  • Complete activity documentation as needed, in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain precautions/limitations lists on each resident and submit supplies lists to the Activity/Recreation Director.
  • Assist in the organization and supervision of the volunteer program, including recruiting and training volunteers.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required.
  • Activities Certification, Preferred.
  • One-year experience working in long-term care, preferred.
