Job Title: Surgical Technician

Host Healthcare is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team for a travel assignment in Portales, New Mexico.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Surgical Technician to provide exceptional patient care and support in the operating room. As a Surgical Technician, you will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for surgery by cleaning and disinfecting the operating room, setting up equipment, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures by passing instruments, suturing, and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history, allergies, and surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
Requirements:
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technician (CST) or Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician in a hospital or surgical setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
