Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on traveler processing systems, providing in-depth analysis of current and emerging processes to enhance existing systems and develop new ones.
- Liaise with government organizations, non-government agencies, and industry partners to assess emerging technologies that support CBP needs.
- Guide and track the planning and execution of programs, including cost, schedule, resources, and processes.
- Lead and facilitate meetings, working groups, reviews, and briefings, developing reports, presentations, and associated documentation.
- Participate in current and emerging technology demonstrations and formal testing events, both in a laboratory and in a field environment.
- Collaborate with other program leaders to develop product roadmaps and test development functionality.
Basic Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 10 years of operational experience in CBP Office of Field Operations and related systems.
- In-depth knowledge of CBP traveler processing procedures.
- Experience with use case development and requirements derivation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A master's degree in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with TECS Portal, TECS Screening Services, Advance Passenger Information System, Automated Passport Control Service, CBP Vetting, Consolidated Secondary Inspection System, Global Entry, Trusted Traveler Programs, Mobile Passport Control, and Primary Inspection Process.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Able to obtain and maintain CBP suitability.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be in a stationary position for more than 50% of the time.
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
