About the Role

Haven Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a skilled Activity Therapy Coordinator to join our team of devoted healthcare professionals. As an Activity Therapy Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing specialized programs using various rehabilitation and expressive therapies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement group therapeutic activities for assigned patients as scheduled.
  • Assess patient needs and facilitate activities that are appropriate to age, development, needs and interests of the patients served.
  • Communicate with nursing staff any changes in a patient's status, including medical or behavioral.
  • Work collaboratively with all treatment team members to create a treatment environment that supports the hospital's mission to provide exemplary patient care and customer service.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree preferred) in Art, Music, Therapeutic Recreation, Occupational Therapy, or related discipline. Three years clinical experience in a psychiatric setting is preferred, with at least one year's experience applying activity therapy methods and techniques.

Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
