Position Summary and Requirements

The Vascular Technician collaborates with the Chief Technician, Imaging Manager, Director, and Medical Staff to enhance patient care and workflow by providing support, education, and leadership to the technical team. Responsibilities include performing sonography and vascular procedures as mandated by state regulations and departmental protocols, focusing on neurological disorders, stroke, oncological, and cardiac services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address customer needs within the Ultrasound sector of the Imaging Department.
  • Exhibit knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment, and policies necessary for effective job performance, particularly in relation to neurological disorders, stroke, oncological, and cardiac services.
  • Work collaboratively with department leadership to develop and implement strategies to meet established goals and objectives.
  • Maintain daily productivity and quality assurance standards as determined by management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Access secure drug and biological storage areas as required for medication management orientation and to fulfill assigned duties.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Vascular Specialist or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) certification required.
