Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and surpass personal weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets.
  • Exceed personal Elite Service Plan attachment rate objectives.
  • Meet or exceed presale goals for designated events.
  • Achieve personal repair sales dollar targets.
  • Surpass Belk Rewards credit card solicitation goals.
  • Meet trunk show sales and appointment objectives.
  • Exceed Item Locator sales targets.
  • Build a clientele/customer base by encouraging customers to fill out client profile cards. Utilize these cards to send thank-you notes, inform customers of sales and special events, and make follow-up calls to boost Fine Jewelry sales.
  • Assist customers in selecting Fine Jewelry items and suggest complementary products with each purchase.
  • Handle customer transactions with professionalism, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Perform minor repairs on Fine Jewelry, including adjusting watch links and changing watch batteries.
  • Maintain Fine Jewelry merchandising and visual standards, including departmental signage.
  • Uphold Fine Jewelry security protocols, ensuring keys are kept on person, displaying only one piece of merchandise at a time, and securing all showcases and safes.
  • Conduct diamond testing as necessary.
  • Check in and restock merchandise within display cases, ensuring items are organized by story.
  • Prepare merchandise transfers and repairs to the RPC as scheduled.
  • Complete customer repair envelopes and coordinate with the Repair department to ensure timely estimates and repairs.
  • Refer to Fine Jewelry Weekly Priorities and execute sales sets and operational tasks promptly.
  • Adhere to all procedures for inventory counts, clearance projects, and re-ticketing.
  • Maintain professional standards for dress and appearance.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow associates, management, and business partners.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Accept additional responsibilities and execute tasks as assigned by the Fine Jewelry Counter Manager, Sales Team Manager, or Store Management.

Qualifications:
Must complete all required Fine Jewelry Training and achieve a minimum score of 8 on quizzes.

  • High School Diploma.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in Fine Jewelry or retail/sales is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to operate keyboard, telephone, computer, and other business-related equipment.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Hand dexterity to perform watch and fine jewelry repairs.
  • Ability to distinguish between various gemstones and metals such as gold, sterling silver, tungsten, and platinum.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as required by the Fine Jewelry Department.
