Key Responsibilities- Perform basic receptionist duties, including answering and returning phone calls, retrieving voicemail, and maintaining office equipment and supplies.
- Greets and provides courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
- Assures accurate processing of patient registration and scheduling.
- Scans, files, and posts documents into patient charts.
- Assures reimbursement through basic insurance processing tasks.
- Monitors petty cash.
- Coordinates requests for release of medical information.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One year of medical office experience or completion of Medical Administrative Assistant/Medical Receptionist Certificate.
- Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to perform basic math functions and count money.
- Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Basic knowledge of insurance information.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence.
- Previous electronic medical software experience.
