About the Role

  • Develop and maintain bill of material information for all products manufactured in the plant.
  • Maintain the complete master item with the correct parameters for the proper use of the MRP system.
  • Coordinate with different areas of the plant to ensure accurate and timely generation of views/parameters for all part numbers.
  • Responsible for coordinating changes to products with various plant areas and ensuring effective dates in the MRP system are correct.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate with a high degree of independence on individual projects, efficiently planning and executing tests.
  • Handle multiple concurrent projects, providing ongoing test guidance, data review, and analysis, and interacting with external customers.
  • Update revision and/or drawing fields in the MRP system.
  • Release technical information in various servers and databases for new drawings or revisions.
  • Elaborate and fill out Engineering Changes (ECNs).
  • Create and maintain product structures (BOMs).
  • Generate BOMs and part numbers for products by loading components as purchase parts, raw materials, manufactured parts, sub-assemblies, general assemblies, and reference drawings in the master material of the MRP system.
  • Coordinate the Product Change Board (CCB).
  • Follow up on Engineering Changes in the EC Home tool.
  • Responsible for effective dates in MRP once changes have gone through implementation phases.
  • Send notifications of Engineering changes by email to users when required to perform activities related to product changes.
  • Coordinate and follow up on Deviations with corresponding areas.
  • Generate weekly reports of ECNs for Product Engineers' follow-up.
  • Responsible for weekly audits of product parameters in MRP, maintaining 100% accuracy in audit results.
  • Determine root cause analysis and solution plans for errors found in audits.
  • Maintain deviation metrics, ensuring ATP phase does not exceed 2 days and is completed within 5 days.
  • Ensure the Deviations procedure is known by all and followed by other departments, reflected in metrics compliance.
  • Generate and update Engineering procedures for ISO9000 compliance.
  • Represent the MRB committee to attend and coordinate differences reported by warehouse and materials.
  • Responsible for NPI activities and coordinating with the manufacturing team to implement process changes required.

Requirements

We're looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and a minimum of two years of progressive experience in Engineering. Knowledge of ISO9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, JCMS, Production Control, Ergonomics, Poka Yoke Systems, Core Tools, Problem Solving Methodology, Innovation, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, SMED, KANBAN, VSM, 5s, TPM, Sigma, BBPs, and KPIs is required. Advanced knowledge of Office tools and MRP systems (Mapics AS400) is also necessary.
