Tactical Air Support Inc. is seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to join our Maintenance team. This position will support our fleet of fighter aircraft with over 75 years of combined experience in tactical aviation maintenance and more than 30 years of military adversary contract maintenance.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, modification, and troubleshooting on all assigned aircraft, components, and equipment.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction to other teammates as needed.
  • Cross train and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of structures/sheet metal experience in an aerospace, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
  • Current work experience in aircraft maintenance occupational field, preferably in the military or with a government aviation maintenance contractor
  • A&P Certification, or ability to obtain certification
  • Valid state driver's license
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance
Desired Experience/Skills:
  • Heavy modification/integration/repair sheet metal experience on aircraft
  • Layout, fabricate, assemble, install, sheet metal products and equipment on aircraft
  • Familiarity with shop equipment such as a shear, sheet metal brake, bandsaw, drill press, mill, bench grinder and sanding belt
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, understanding symbols, flags, and general notes

Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) required. Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications required. Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards. May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials. Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements. Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required. Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
