Position Overview:
A dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Support Technician is needed to provide essential support in a school-based environment. The successful candidate will work closely with students facing challenges related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tailored behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Deliver individualized support to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental challenges.
  • Apply behavior management techniques to encourage positive behaviors while minimizing disruptive actions.
  • Gather and document data regarding student behavior and progress towards set objectives.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other staff members to foster a nurturing and inclusive educational atmosphere.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of behavior support plans.
  • Support students during academic activities and aid in the generalization of skills across different contexts.
  • Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards consistently.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree is advantageous).
  • Valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
  • Experience with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities.
  • Understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capability to function effectively within a team setting.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
