Job Title: Trailer Technician

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Technician to join our team at CSTK Inc. - Velociti Inc. as a key member of our maintenance team.

Job Summary:

The Trailer Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing duty trailers with minimal supervision, including preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical knowledge of major trailer systems and related equipment, as well as proficiency in welding steel, stainless, aluminum, and other alloys.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair duty trailers with minimal supervision
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs
  • Troubleshoot air and hydraulic brake repairs, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
  • Effectively communicate with customers and team members
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle or free objects
  • Use computers for web-based training and work order system
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift
  • Ability to retain knowledge of standard operating procedures and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a trailer technician
  • Technical knowledge of major trailer systems and related equipment
  • Proficiency in welding steel, stainless, aluminum, and other alloys
  • Must supply own tools
  • Must be able to work overtime
  • Ability to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
