Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair duty trailers with minimal supervision
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trailers
  • Repair air and hydraulic brake systems, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex trailer systems
  • Work effectively with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle, or free objects
  • Operate a forklift safely
  • Follow standard operating procedures and verbal and written instructions
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a trailer technician
  • Technical knowledge of major trailer systems and related equipment
  • Proficiency in welding steel, stainless, aluminum, and other alloys
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier
