The Opportunity
Description
We are seeking a MRI Imaging Specialist - Permanent + Relocation Bonus, working in the Healthcare Systems and Services sector.

Job Summary:
This position involves operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images while ensuring optimal patient care across all age groups. The specialist will work under the guidance of the MRI Manager and collaborate with medical staff to uphold safety protocols in the MRI zones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute all imaging procedures with proficiency, ensuring high standards are met. This includes correct positioning, selecting suitable coils, and a comprehensive understanding of scanning protocols. Imaging studies must be completed efficiently and submitted for radiologist interpretation promptly.
  • Verify patient identity using two identifiers.
  • Engage with patients and medical personnel regarding MR safety questionnaires and relevant clinical histories.
  • Collect completed questionnaires and ensure safety protocols are followed for all patients entering the department.
  • Communicate any sedation requirements to the appropriate medical staff.
  • Keep patients and families informed about any delays.
  • Prepare the scanning area according to established cleaning protocols.
  • Dispose of sharps properly and maintain adequate supplies and linens in the examination rooms.
  • Administer contrast materials as prescribed, adhering to physician directives and approved protocols.
  • Be knowledgeable of and implement emergency procedures as necessary.
  • Perform computer-related tasks relevant to the role.
Work Shift: Days, Mid, and Nights

Experience Required for Your Success:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses:
  • ARRT registered in Radiology & MRI; OR ARRT registered in MRI; OR ARMRIT-American Registry of MRI certification.
  • BLS certification.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Familiarity with office equipment (fax/copier).
  • Proficient computer skills (database).
  • Data entry skills.
  • Mathematical skills.
