Certified Nurse Aide

As a Certified Nurse Aide in our Recovery department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with our nursing team to ensure our patients receive the highest level of care and support during their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN
• Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff
• Assist with keeping patient care area and common areas stocked, clean and orderly
• Participate actively in performance improvement, departmental meetings and continuous quality improvement
• Maintain a positive working relationship both within the department and with other departments for the benefit of the patient
• Assist patients with personal care needs (dressing, toileting, ambulation, etc.)
Requirements:
• Current Kentucky CNA certification with current listing on the Kentucky Board of Nursing Nurse Aide Registry
• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 90 days after hire date
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
