Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biller/Collector to join our team at APN Software Services Inc. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for collecting and recovering payments from patients and insurance companies for delinquent hospital/medical patient accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate outbound calls to patients and insurance companies to resolve payment issues and arrange timely payment or collection solutions.
  • Work with payers, including commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid, to resolve problems and gather additional information needed to collect debt.
  • Collaborate with customers to find and arrange collection solutions, ensuring billing is complete and accurate.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of insurance carrier procedures and experience with reading Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements to effectively collect debt.
  • Manage multiple conflicting tasks and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines and achieve collection goals.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of billing experience, including corresponding with patients and insurance companies in resolving patient accounts.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance carrier procedures and experience with reading EOB statements.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple conflicting tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Experience with physician and case rate billing, and experience with EPIC strongly preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment:

This is an in-office position located at 4900 Rivergrade Rd, Irwindale.
