Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing prevention, assessment, and remediation services to students with communication disorders. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct speech and language screenings and assessments to identify students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement IEPs that address the communication needs of students
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, therapy rooms, and community-based settings
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students with communication disorders
- Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and involve them in the IEP process
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech and language therapy and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid South Carolina teaching license in Speech-Language Therapist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a variety of settings, including classrooms, therapy rooms, and community-based settings. The position requires frequent travel to schools and other locations to provide services to students. The Speech Language Pathologist will also be required to work with students who have a range of abilities and needs, including those with severe communication disorders.
