Electrical Wire Harness Technician

This position involves building electrical components, including wire harnesses, control boxes, and control panels, according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and comprehend work orders, process sheets, and blueprints, and produce high-quality projects on-time and on-budget for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Review assembly drawings, diagrams, process sheets, schematics, and test requirements, and discuss any issues with the project engineer.
- Verify the bill of material and parts pulled for accuracy and quality.
- Verify dimensions for accuracy and quality.
- Document test performance results.
- Process wire.
- Terminate wire ends/splice circuits.
- Assemble harnesses, control boxes, and control panels.
- Test functionality and continuity of electrical assemblies.
- Apply harness covering by machine.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Versatile with various tools.
- Monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure a machine is working properly.
- Critical thinking - use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Troubleshooting - assist in assessing and determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Enforce the use of safety equipment.
- Be knowledgeable about safety in the work area.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and experience in electrical assembly in manufacturing. Salary and benefits will be competitive, and sign-on and retention bonuses are available.
