Key Responsibilities

  • Execute repairs as outlined in the work order efficiently and in line with dealership standards.
  • Assist the Service Advisor by test-driving vehicles and evaluating components and systems using diagnostic tools.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair various automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
  • Communicate with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about any additional services required, including time estimates for repairs.
  • Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

  • Quick problem identification skills
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems
  • Excellent analytical and communication abilities
  • Proficient reading, computer, and math skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and service procedures
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic tools
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred
  • ASE certifications are a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a service department
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Positive and friendly demeanor
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must pass background, drug, and MVR checks
