Job Summary
Barton Associates is recruiting a locum tenens Neurosurgical Nurse Practitioner to work in a hospital setting in New Mexico. This opportunity offers a chance to provide specialized care for adult and pediatric patients on a night shift role.

About the Role
As a Neurosurgical Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for conducting rounds and consultations for neurosurgical patients, performing neurological assessments on adult and pediatric patients, and carrying out bedside procedures including drain management and lumbar punctures. You will also assist with reprogramming and reevaluation of neurosurgical devices and collaborate with attending physicians.

Responsibilities
  • • Conduct rounds and consultations for neurosurgical patients
  • • Perform neurological assessments on adult and pediatric patients
  • • Carry out bedside procedures including drain management and lumbar punctures
  • • Assist with reprogramming and reevaluation of neurosurgical devices
  • • Collaborate with 3 adult neurosurgery attendings and 2 pediatric neurosurgery attendings

Requirements
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric neurosurgical patients and proficient in performing various bedside procedures.
