Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Rehabilitation Medical Director to lead its rehabilitation unit in Santa Rosa, California. This is an exceptional opportunity for a physician to take on a leadership role and contribute to the growth and development of the rehabilitation services.

About the Role

The Medical Director will be responsible for the clinical direction and supervision of the rehabilitation services and programs for the hospital's smaller 15-patient rehabilitation unit. This is a physician-first role, with 80% of the Medical Director's time spent in clinical patient care and the remaining 20% on director administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a dedicated team of rehabilitation professionals with opportunities for growth as the patient population grows.
  • Develop and implement clinical programs and services to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to rehabilitation staff, including physicians, therapists, and nurses.
Requirements
  • Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
  • 3-5 years of experience in rehabilitation medicine, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Prior experience as a Medical Director or in a similar leadership position is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
