About Our Center

Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art outpatient facility providing high-quality, cost-effective services in a friendly and caring environment. Our center is located on the campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia.

Job Responsibilities

  • Care for surgical patients as they recover from anesthesia, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen level.
  • Provide emotional support to patients as they wake from anesthesia, and may be required to gently restrain them if necessary.
  • Inspect the surgical site for excessive bleeding or swelling.
  • Educate patients on post-discharge care for their surgical wound.
  • Cross-train to work in the PreOperative area to meet the needs of the unit.

Requirements

  • One or more years of experience in PACU/Critical Care nursing in an ambulatory surgery setting or acute hospital.
  • Prior experience in PreOp and PostOp areas in an ASC is highly desirable.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing institution, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current licensure in Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • ACLS/PALS certification preferred within six months of hire.
