Pride Health is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to assist in the operations of a medical facility. This role offers a temporary assignment with the potential for a contract-to-hire opportunity, providing an excellent chance to engage with a leading healthcare organization.
Position Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Medical Facility
Shift Schedule: 6:30 AM - 11:30 PM / Variable 8 Hour Shifts
Contract Duration: 3 months+
Compensation: $21-$24 per hour
Note: IV Certification is mandatory.
*Compensation is determined based on experience and educational background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Preparation & Dispensing: Collaborate with the pharmacist in the preparation, repackaging, compounding, and dispensing of medications.
- Controlled Substances Management: Assist in the management of controlled substances, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Data Entry: Accurately input patient information into the system to confirm medication dosages.
- Aseptic Technique & Infection Control: Adhere to aseptic techniques in sterile product preparation and maintain infection control standards.
- Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy of prepared medications in accordance with established standards.
- Inventory Management: Work with Pharmacy Support Services to ensure sufficient stock levels of medications and supplies.
- Labeling & Documentation: Ensure proper labeling of medications and maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
- Certifications: IV Certification preferred; please indicate certification status in your application.
- Education: Required - RPHT-TX (Registered Pharmacy Technician - TX State Board of Pharmacy) or PHAR INT (Pharmacy Intern - State Board of Pharmacy).
- Skills: Proficient knowledge of pharmaceutical handling standards, strong mathematical and reading abilities, excellent communication skills, and capability to operate necessary equipment.
