About the Role

The Associate Dean for Research will be responsible for advancing an impactful vision for the CoSW research enterprise, engaging in strategic outreach to yield fruitful research collaborations, promoting research competency among CoSW stakeholders, and fostering a supportive, collaborative research culture in CoSW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advance Research Enterprise: Develop, communicate, and assess the creative vision for CoSW's research enterprise, articulating clear strategies for advancing CoSW research endeavors.
  • Strategic Outreach: Facilitate collaborative relationships and initiatives among CoSW investigators and other UK units, as well as other national/international scholars and community stakeholders.
  • Research Competency: Support mentorship structures to promote the development of new and established investigators, conduct periodic assessment of developmental needs of investigators, and provide appropriate guidance and support.
  • Foster Research Culture: Procure and manage resources to promote research capacity, foster an infrastructure consistent with developing strong research networks between CoSW researchers and external partners, and establish policies, practices, and protocols consistent with research excellence.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong research background, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external partners. A tenure-track position in the Regular Title Series, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of research at the University of Kentucky's College of Social Work.
