Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management: Review project proposal/plan to determine time frame, funding margins, and procedures.
  • Cost Control and Management: Ensure direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects, managing costs, and maximizing profitability.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve daily issues that may arise effectively to ensure a timely, safe, and profitable project.
  • Contract Management: Resolve all conflicts and misunderstandings in the contract & specification.
  • Value Engineering: Review constructability constraints by identifying value engineering opportunities.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare project reports for management and customers.
  • Change Order Management: Prepare and collect change orders and ensure work is delegated appropriately.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Develop and communicate a QAS/QC plan - including specific responsibilities and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years experience with managing construction projects.
  • Industry Knowledge: Rebar, concrete, and general contracting experience, highly preferred.
  • Contractual Knowledge: Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawing.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of project costs/cost control with strong financial and business acumen.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong scheduling, planning, organizing, problem solving, time managing, and prioritizing work skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Education and Certifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, preferred.
