Counter Sales Associate

Job Summary
The Counter Sales Associate is the face of Airgas, responsible for selling medical, industrial, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and hard goods and tools to customers. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Solicit sales from walk-in and telephone call-in customers, assisting customers with identification of product needs and locating merchandise.
- Accurately complete and file all required paperwork on a timely basis, documenting sales, quotes, or other information.
- Enter sales & quote data into the computer and research information for customers using the computer system.
- Receive payment for merchandise or services sold and enter sale into the computer, responsible for payments received and adhering to all administrative and accounting related procedures.
- Restock store merchandise as needed, arranging stock on shelves or racks in sales area and keeping merchandise in order.
- Maintain showroom cleanliness by procedures set forth by management.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service, sales, warehouse, or similar experience, preferably with industrial related products.
- Intermediate knowledge of Google and/or MS Office Applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
