This position demands precision, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the capacity to operate efficiently both autonomously and collaboratively.
Core Responsibilities:
Ledger Management:
Oversee and reconcile ledger accounts, ensuring precision and thoroughness.
Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
Guarantee adherence to GAAP and organizational accounting policies.
Assist in crafting financial statements and reports.
Payables Management:
Process supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding, matching, and authorization.
Conduct 2-way and 3-way matching for purchase orders and receipts.
Prepare and execute check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
Reconcile supplier statements and address discrepancies.
Receivables Management:
Generate and distribute client invoices.
Record and reconcile incoming payments, including cash, checks, and ACH.
Prepare aging reports and engage in follow-up collection activities.
Address client inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
Bank Reconciliation:
Reconcile various bank accounts monthly.
Investigate and rectify any discrepancies or unusual transactions.
Credit Card Reconciliation:
Reconcile credit card statements and ensure accurate recording of all transactions.
Verify and process employee expense claims.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Compile various financial analyses and reports as required.
Compliance and Audit Support:
Assist in audit preparations and provide necessary documentation.
Ensure all accounting practices align with internal policies and external regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
2-4 years of experience in ledger management, payables, and receivables.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
