- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and define testing strategies.
- Root cause analysis: Perform root cause analysis of defects and work with the development team to resolve them.
- Quality champion: Act as a quality champion throughout the software development lifecycle, identifying potential issues early.
- End-to-end testing: Oversee end-to-end testing processes, including planning, execution, and tracking of all testing activities.
- Process improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and techniques to ensure efficient and effective quality assurance practices.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed and clear documentation for all QA activities, including bug reports, test plans, and release notes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with strong expertise in both manual and automated testing.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
- Proficient in scripting for test automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Experience in writing and executing complex SQL queries to validate data.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA and test management tools like TestRail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
