Job Title: Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer

System One is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our QA team, you will be responsible for leading a small team of QA engineers and ensuring the highest quality of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on testing: Participate in manual and automated testing efforts to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Test planning and execution: Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Automation: Implement and maintain automated test frameworks, improving automation coverage.
  • Team leadership: Lead and mentor a small team of QA engineers, guiding them in test case design, execution, and debugging.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and define testing strategies.
  • Root cause analysis: Perform root cause analysis of defects and work with the development team to resolve them.
  • Quality champion: Act as a quality champion throughout the software development lifecycle, identifying potential issues early.
  • End-to-end testing: Oversee end-to-end testing processes, including planning, execution, and tracking of all testing activities.
  • Process improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, tools, and techniques to ensure efficient and effective quality assurance practices.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed and clear documentation for all QA activities, including bug reports, test plans, and release notes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with strong expertise in both manual and automated testing.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
  • Proficient in scripting for test automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience in writing and executing complex SQL queries to validate data.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA and test management tools like TestRail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
