Position Overview


The Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester is actively seeking a leader for the abdominal imaging division. This division is currently comprised of 11 skilled faculty members, supported by licensed professional extenders and a dedicated radiology communication center.

Faculty specializing in abdominal imaging engage in a variety of procedures including CT, MRI, ultrasound, abdominal fluoroscopy, and PET/CT, with opportunities for internal sub-specialization based on individual interests. The department collaborates closely with exceptional clinical colleagues to provide diagnostic imaging and education at the primary medical center. Interventional procedures are managed by a separate division, while overnight coverage is handled by an emergency radiology team.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation and benefits packages are highly competitive, featuring 403b and 457 plans, disability insurance, and tuition benefits. As a non-profit institution, service time may qualify for the public service federal loan forgiveness program. Department Overview

The Department of Imaging Sciences comprises approximately 90 radiologists and 25-30 residents and fellows. Our technical capabilities include cutting-edge information technology, 3T MRI, clinical PET/MRI, Dual Energy CT, and digital PET/CT. The department's PACS system is seamlessly integrated into a comprehensive electronic clinical information system, with annual study volumes nearing 1,000,000 across multiple imaging locations in the region.
