Job Title: Material Handler

Tate, Inc. is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the built environment. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at our new manufacturing facility in Russell County, Virginia.

Job Summary

The Material Handler will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of materials, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting the production process. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to grow with our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently move materials within the facility using various equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular counts and reconciling any discrepancies.
  • Receive and verify incoming materials, storing them in designated areas and ensuring proper organization for easy retrieval.
  • Fulfill production orders by accurately picking materials from inventory and delivering them to the appropriate production areas.
  • Perform visual inspections of materials for damage or defects and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain detailed records of material transactions, update inventory systems, and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed by Team Leader or Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of warehouse and shipping experience required.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Valid Driver's License and computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
