We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Par Pacific's Newcastle Refinery in Wyoming. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the success of our operations.

Job Description

The Process Engineer will provide technical support to refinery operations, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and safe processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring daily operations of assigned process units and identifying areas for improvement
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and optimization of process units to maximize efficiency and reduce costs
  • Collaborating with maintenance teams to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies
  • Sizing and selecting PSVs, control valves, orifice plates, and other flow devices to meet operational requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering or a related field, with experience in a petroleum refinery or similar environment. A bachelor's degree is required, and 3-8 years of refining engineering experience is preferred.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in a petroleum refinery or similar environment (preferably 3-8 years)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
