Job Overview

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct regular patrols throughout the hotel premises to identify and mitigate potential security threats or safety hazards.
  • Assess various situations and make informed decisions regarding appropriate actions and resource allocation.
  • Provide assistance to guests in distress and administer first aid as required until emergency services arrive.
  • Monitor the parking facilities through both vehicular and foot patrols.
  • Ensure a secure environment within the hotel by addressing guest welfare, assisting with access issues, and coordinating responses to emergencies such as fires or safety threats in a composed and effective manner.
  • Respond promptly to security calls and safety hotline inquiries based on urgency.
  • Communicate essential information regarding guest occupancy, events, and arrivals/departures during shift changes.
  • Maintain familiarity with the building's life safety systems, including the layout, locations of safety equipment, and emergency protocols.
  • Monitor surveillance feeds for unusual activities and report any suspicious behavior or alarms to the on-duty supervisor.
  • Assist guests with inquiries and provide directions in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Complete necessary documentation and reports as directed.
  • Manage and direct traffic flow as required.
  • Administer CPR and First Aid when necessary.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality sector, employees may be required to adapt to varying schedules to meet operational demands.

Consistent attendance in alignment with the standards set by Trump Hotel Las Vegas is crucial for the successful execution of this role. Employees with inconsistent attendance may face disciplinary measures, including potential termination.

Given the nature of our industry, collaboration among team members is essential. Employees may be called upon to assist in other areas to enhance guest satisfaction. In such instances, it is important to respond positively unless it jeopardizes guest experience, in which case management should be notified.

SUPPORTING FUNCTIONS:

In addition to core responsibilities, this role may involve a variety of supportive tasks as determined by management based on the company's needs:

  • Provide accurate information to guests regarding directions and operational hours.
  • Document and secure lost property, responding to guest inquiries about items left behind.
  • Assist guests with access issues related to room locks and safes using specialized equipment.
  • Escort guests and staff to parking areas as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisors.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the hotel layout, function areas, and local surroundings.
  • Ability to effectively interact with guests and staff, demonstrating patience and diplomacy in challenging situations.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Capability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while performing essential duties.
  • Strong observational skills to identify emergency situations.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and walking considerable distances.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Capacity to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. and demonstrate manual dexterity.
  • Ability to navigate stairs quickly and efficiently.
  • Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions.

SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in security within a luxury hotel environment is preferred. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, is essential.

CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Alcohol Awareness Card, Driver's License, and CPR & First Aid Certification are required.

APPEARANCE:
All employees must maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company standards.

AGE REQUIREMENT:
Must be at least 21 years old.

NOTE:
The hospitality industry operates continuously, requiring a commitment to providing exceptional service at all times.

AVAILABILITY:
Must be available to work all shifts, including days, evenings, and overnight, as well as weekends and holidays.
