Butterball, LLC, a leading food manufacturer, is seeking a Quality and Food Safety Intern to join our team in Raeford, NC. As a Quality and Food Safety Intern, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products, working closely with our Food Safety and Quality Assurance teams.
Responsibilities:- Validate the "Less Than Daily" sanitation program and define moisture retention protocols.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership teams to ensure validation, moisture, and Salmonella intervention protocols have been developed.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and communicate results.
- Support the development of quality and food safety procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to understand sampling and analysis processes.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, or a related field.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Excel formulas and data analysis.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Hands-on experience in quality and food safety.
