About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at the Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our production staff, ensuring the efficient operation of our kitchen stations, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the production staff to ensure the efficient operation of kitchen stations and the preparation of high-quality meals.
  • Develop and implement menu plans, recipes, and production schedules to meet the nutritional needs of our athletes and staff.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food products meet our high standards.
  • Collaborate with our Executive Chef and Culinary Manager to develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes.
  • Provide training and guidance to our production staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and waste to ensure that we are operating within our budget.
  • Ensure that all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a production chef or in a similar role.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as HACCP guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
