Job Summary

Banner Health is seeking a skilled Biomed Technician II to join our Technology Management team. As a Biomed Technician II, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and calibrating clinical equipment at a component level, ensuring that our medical devices are functioning properly and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and calibrate clinical equipment at a component level, including patient care equipment, medical communications equipment, and PCs.
  • Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and quality assurance on assigned medical equipment.
  • Repair patient care equipment, medical communications equipment, and PCs to board/module level, using electronics theory and applications, including operating systems and PC repair.
  • Provide customer relations and resolve equipment service problems, ensuring that clinical capability is restored as quickly as possible.
  • Document all work performed, maintain parts, supplies, tools, test equipment, and technical literature, and assist with equipment installations and project work.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in electronics or related field, and a minimum of two years of related experience within an acute-care hospital setting.
  • Valid driver's license and eligibility for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
  • Working knowledge of electricity, AC/DC electronics, electro/mechanics, hydraulics/pneumatics, medical terminology, and basic physiology.
  • Proficiency in PC repair and Windows PC and network operating systems.
