Civil Service Title: Community Service Aide

Reports to: Division Manager, Housing, Community Development, & Social Services

Under supervision, engages in a range of routine field and office tasks associated with community-focused initiatives and aids residents in accessing necessary support services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of HUD planning documentation and reports
  • Provide technical support to funded organizations
  • Conduct program evaluations for compliance
  • Facilitate public hearings and committee sessions
  • Help inform community residents about available programs

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred

Experience: Previous experience with HUD programs is desirable

Language: Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

License: Appointees must possess a valid driver's license

Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with local community agencies, ability to assess residents' needs, and capacity to work collaboratively with others

Proficient in gathering and evaluating information, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records

Effective communication skills in English
