The primary focus is to guarantee personal safety and the safety of colleagues by utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), which may encompass fall protection, respiratory gear, hearing protection, and protection for hands, feet, head, and eyes. It is also vital to promptly report any unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor or management.

Regulatory Compliance:
Assist in formulating strategies to fulfill regulatory obligations, ensuring that the facility complies with Federal and State Air regulations, RCRA, SPCC, SWPP, NPDES, DOT, and EPCRA. Interpret data and observations to confirm compliance with regulatory mandates and industry standards while advising management accordingly.

Technical Knowledge:

Lead environmental project initiatives, including the operation and maintenance of air pollution control systems, feasibility assessments, and other plans. Respond to environmental incidents by either rectifying them or notifying the Environmental Manager, Maintenance, or relevant supervisors as necessary. Develop and implement sampling and monitoring strategies, including the installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment, and assist in the effective operation of an environmental management system.

Data Management:
Prepare documentation such as environmental monitoring and shipping reports for regulatory agency review and submission. Review all new products, chemicals, and projects for environmental implications, maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documentation for the facility, and create technical documentation for management's use in interactions with regulatory bodies and other internal/external requirements.

Promoting Environmental Culture:
Identify opportunities to engage employees in environmental process modifications and overall enhancement efforts, evaluate the environmental risks associated with activities, and advise team members on potential impacts while actively promoting the principles of The McWane Way.

Supervisory Duties:

Physical Requirements:
This role necessitates frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing. Occasionally, the employee must climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and engage in sensory activities such as tasting or smelling. The ability to lift or move up to 55 pounds occasionally is required. Specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, are essential.

Qualifications:
