As a Lead Astrodynamics Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in a Systems Engineering team focused on mission planning and scheduling following program acquisition. We seek candidates with experience in the Space Command and Control (C2) sector.
This position is part of the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) division, which comprises a talented group of professionals renowned for their technical expertise and collaborative engineering approach.

In this role, you will leverage your systems engineering expertise to significantly impact programs and projects vital to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in the development and integration of mission planning and scheduling systems for space operations.
- Perform software testing to guarantee system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet system requirements and resolve technical challenges.
- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and user manuals.
- Utilize modeling and simulation techniques.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and advancements in the Space C2 domain.
- Manage requirements effectively.
- Lead a technical scrum team.
- Travel as necessary (a minimum of 10% travel expected).
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active TS Security Clearance.
- Experience with mission planning and scheduling systems.
- Background in software development, testing, and validation.
- Familiarity with astrodynamics concepts and applications.
- Experience in testing and troubleshooting systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in the Space C2 domain.
- Proficiency in Scala, Matlab.
- Experience in the SDA domain.
- Familiarity with MBSE techniques to support system design and development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively throughout the entire build cycle.
- Self-motivated learner and proactive.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $89,000- $165,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amounts may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
