Sheet Metal Technician Job Description

Primus Metals Inc is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Technician to join our production team in Reisterstown, MD. As a key member of our manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for fabricating high-tolerance sheet metal panels, brackets, covers, and enclosures using various materials such as aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Amada Turret brakes and punches to cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to precise dimensions.
  • Utilize prior experience of layout, pattern drafting, and setup of CNC machines to efficiently produce components.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless production.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assemble parts according to blueprints and specifications.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in brake and punch operation.
  • Fundamental understanding of GD&T principles.
  • Computer experience and manual machining skills.
  • Setup experience with Amada punch and brake.
  • Familiarity with Amada Brake NC control units.
  • Previous CNC Operator experience is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
