At CVS Health, we're committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients. As a pharmacist in our Long Term Care Pharmacy, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the continuation of pharmacy management's goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers.
  • Maintain security of the pharmacy and adhere to required delivery schedules.
  • Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy and check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders.
  • Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling, and prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required.
  • Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs and provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation based on the needs of the business.
  • Follow all applicable state and government regulations, including HIPAA, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Virginia, active and in good standing.
  • Long Term Care pharmacy experience is preferred, as is IV Certification or experience and Immunization certification or willingness to become immunization certified.

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position offering 32-40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled between 8am-11pm Monday-Friday, Saturday & Sunday between 11am-7:30pm. The weekend rotation is every other week, with no on-call requirement for this role.
