The Role

We are seeking a skilled Composite Boat Builder to join our Production and R&D team. As a key member of our team, you will use your expertise in composite boat building to construct uncrewed surface vehicles. You will work from our well-equipped facilities in Alameda, California, and will be part of a high-performing multi-disciplinary team that delivers high impact for humanity and future generations.

Responsibilities
  • Apply pre-preg, infusion, wet/vacuum bag lamination techniques to construct uncrewed surface vehicles.
  • Design and create molds and tools for composite boat building.
  • Mix and apply epoxy resins, fairing compounds, and industry-standard paints.
  • Read, interpret, and understand technical drawings.
  • Work comfortably alone or in a team environment.
  • Operate hand and power tools with advanced beginner knowledge.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1+ years of relevant working experience in composite boat building.
  • Advanced beginner knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical drawings.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, use hands to grasp, push and pull, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and reach with your hands and arms.
