MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least five (5) years of experience in a relevant technical domain, including:
    • Technology Evaluation and Analysis, Design Specification, Development of System Requirements, Systems Evaluation, Systems Architecture, Integration of Systems/Equipment, Testing & Assessment Criteria, and Logistics support for C5ISR initiatives.
  • Proficient in designing and securing Windows environments, with experience in Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, and/or Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with DISA STIGs for enhancing and securing Windows environments.
  • Experience in design, testing, and validation of systems deployed within the Department of Defense.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary operating system security design principles.
  • Self-driven with the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Comfortable creating detailed and precise technical documentation.
  • This role will primarily be conducted in a secured laboratory setting, necessitating that most tasks are performed to fulfill this requirement.
  • Access to SIPR NMCI and multiple restricted areas is mandatory.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • DoD IAT Level II certifications:
    • One of the following security certifications: CSEC, Security+, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP.
    • A Microsoft certification (MCSA, MCSE, MCSD) is highly recommended.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Network Defense (CND) systems both ashore and afloat is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and its deliverables is a plus.
  • Understanding of systems engineering processes and improvement methodologies is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following:
    • System administration on DoD-deployed systems.
    • Knowledge of CND Information Assurance (IA) systems.
    • Basic understanding of IP networking and protocols.
    • Ability to analyze network traffic at the packet level.
    • Experience in designing, developing, installing, implementing, and troubleshooting custom Windows applications, backup solutions, patch management, and configuration management solutions.
    • General knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and related technologies.
    • System evaluation, design, and architecture of backup, patching, and configuration management applications.
