Key Responsibilities

To excel in this role, the following tasks are essential:

  • Inventory Management: Systematically arrange stock and merchandise within the warehouse and yard, ensuring that goods are unloaded and stored in their designated locations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain precise documentation of products that have been stocked, providing management with a clear overview of all goods shipped and received.
  • Shipment Verification: Confirm the accuracy of incoming shipments by cross-referencing invoices with orders, ensuring all items are in optimal condition.
  • Loss Prevention: Monitor and report any discrepancies in inventory to management.
  • Packaging: Properly prepare items for shipment in accordance with company standards to guarantee they arrive in excellent condition.
  • Organization: Sort and categorize items on shelving, bins, and in the yard according to established company protocols.
  • Retrieval: Efficiently retrieve items from the warehouse and yard for processing and shipment.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many warehouse items are substantial and cumbersome.
  • Capability to maintain a high level of physical activity for extended periods, primarily working in a standing position.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, as teamwork is essential for maintaining an organized warehouse.
  • Familiarity with software such as SAP and other company programs is advantageous.
  • Professional forklift certification is strongly preferred, along with experience operating a lull.
  • Proficient typing and record-keeping skills to provide accurate information regarding warehouse inventory.
  • Ability to quickly solve problems and prioritize daily tasks based on their significance.
  • A customer service-oriented mindset to ensure a positive experience by shipping items to a high standard.
