About the Role

As a Physiotherapy Support Specialist at SportsCare Physical Therapy, you will play a vital role in supporting our physical therapists and ensuring patients receive the highest quality of care.

You will work directly with our clinical team to assist in the delivery of treatment and promote a positive and supportive clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care Support: Provide direct assistance to patients during therapy sessions, following guidance from physical therapists or assistants. This may involve assisting with exercises, equipment setup, and ensuring patient safety.
  • Treatment Area Preparation: Set up treatment areas and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and ready for patient use.
  • Patient Education: Assist in educating patients by explaining exercises, proper form, and treatment goals as directed by the clinical team.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep treatment areas, exercise equipment, and therapy rooms clean and sanitized to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Laundry and Supplies: Assist with laundry duties, such as washing and folding linens, towels, and other materials. Monitor and restock supplies as needed.
  • Patient Records: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including tracking and documenting patient progress and adherence to exercise programs.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that therapy equipment is properly maintained and report any equipment issues to the appropriate staff.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, physical therapists, and other team members to facilitate a smooth patient experience.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
  • The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Bonus qualifications include basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as required.
  • A commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality.
What We Offer:
