Position Overview


We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineering Manager to join our Civil Engineering & Renewable Energy division in the Central New England region.


This role involves leading our team in supporting renewable energy development clients through civil, water resources, and environmental engineering initiatives.


The position demands a blend of leadership and technical skills as you guide teams towards the successful completion of projects.


As a Senior Manager, you will establish high standards for delivering quality projects within designated timelines and budgets.

Your Contributions


• Provide expert guidance in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data from various sources including physical work sites, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, and hydrologic analysis for project development and design.


• Utilize advanced civil engineering techniques to identify enhancements across different phases of infrastructure projects, including concept development, design, procurement, and construction.


• Conduct thorough inspections and research on proposed and existing site conditions to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.


• Develop comprehensive construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates, while coordinating with stakeholders and other disciplines.


• Oversee the management of design and construction for infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.


• Implement innovative technologies and strategies to enhance safety and functionality for end-users and transportation systems.


• Supervise cross-functional teams of engineers and planners to ensure project execution aligns with budgetary and regulatory requirements.


• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.


• Engage with regulatory bodies, subcontractors, and clients in a professional manner.


• Stay updated on the latest civil engineering practices and technologies.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely related field.


• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in engineering and civil design.


• A valid engineering license is required.


• Proficient in civil engineering principles and practices, with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas to diverse audiences.


• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects effectively.


• Proficient in technical writing and familiar with design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.


• Ability to work independently and provide mentorship to junior team members.


• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.

Preferred Qualifications


• Master's Degree in Engineering.


• OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) certification.


• Basic First Aid and CPR training.
