We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Roadway Group Manager to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our transportation engineering group, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of engineers, providing technical expertise, and delivering transportation and roadway engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop a team of 4-7 roadway design engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to grow and improve the performance of the team.
- Collaborate with other departments and sections within the office to ensure effective work-sharing and project delivery.
- Support the implementation of the firm's strategic plan and sales approach on project pursuits.
- Manage project delivery, including scope, work plan, and fee reviews.
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain section staff.
- Perform technical discipline tasks, including research, reports, design, specifications, and plan preparation.
- 12 years of practical experience in transportation engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience delivering projects for MassDOT.
- Ability to advise and guide staff throughout the design stages.
- Technical expertise in transportation engineering, including corridor, intersection, and interchange design.
